A Kingdom Study Community · Howard Park Christian Church
TheConfluence
Where the Kingdom flows together.
Online & in person · Free, always · Begins mid-September 2026
Tell us you’re coming →The Confluence is a house of study where neighbors from across the corridor — online through pgafinch.com and in person at Howard Park — open the Scriptures together and trace the Kingdom of God through the whole of the Bible. No prerequisite. No gatekeeping. The curious, the doubting, the seasoned, and the brand-new, all at one table.
Many streams, one current
A confluence is where separate streams meet and become one stronger current. The Indiana corridor and Louisville’s West End. The lifelong believer and the newcomer. Christian, Jewish, Muslim, and Buddhist voices at one table.
We don’t dissolve our differences — we let them converge, and the river that flows out carries more than any stream could alone. That is the Kingdom: justice and righteousness, moving like water.
The Opening Course
The Constitution of the Kingdom
A 33-session journey through the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 5–7) and the Sermon on the Plain (Luke 6:17–49). We begin where the King begins — blessed are the poor… love your enemies… you are the light of the world — and learn the heart of the Kingdom before we read the rest of Scripture through it.
Two streams, one current

“The Old Man and the Book.” Study from anywhere — self-paced or in cohort — with video teaching and discussion guides.
Howard Park
Gathered in the room here in the corridor — study partners, the table, and honest conversation.
Same Scripture. Same sessions. Same Kingdom — whichever stream you enter by.
The river runs through Scripture
- “Let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.”Amos 5:24
- “There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God.”Psalm 46:4
- “Where the river flows, everything will live.”Ezekiel 47:9
- “The river of the water of life… for the healing of the nations.”Revelation 22:1–2
What we promise
- Free, always. No tuition, no catch.
- Bilingual by design. A Spanish-speaking neighbor finds a door that opens.
- Recovery-aware and trauma-gentle. Come as you are; we go at a humane pace.
- No prerequisite, no gatekeeping. The least among us in the front row.
There’s room for you in the current
Tell us you’re coming, and we’ll send you everything you need to begin in September.
Thank you — we’ll be in touch. The river keeps room for you.
